1.
It was late last night When a spark from the kitchen caught to the curtains The siren lights They came to surprise you when you arrived And you could have stayed home With all the paperweights of your past You could have stayed home with all the paperweights of your past You could have stayed home with all the ghosts and killers And the old plate glass It shattered like the ice in the middle of December You saw it last When the leaves were fiery red just like September And you could have stayed home… But you don’t fight it You don’t fight it Cause you’ll find that All is better when all that’s bitter burns to embers Well it was late, late, late When you decided you were never going home Cause there was too much to fake, fake, fake All the things you lost but they were never gone And you could have stayed home… With all the bills and papers
2.
Is it too late to call it? You’re lost and gone and falling Your feet don’t seem to lead you in the right places anymore You thought you’d never be here You had it all planned out well And now you’re stuck with too much weight It’s too much… And fire, hot fire, burns you down It shakes and breaks and takes the town And all the lies that tie you down We’ll break them. It’s a concrete beat down You make a little but you take a lot of heat You’re not yourself lately Somebody else they’re saying who is that anyway well I know… If you’re putting on a show everywhere you go And the lies you tell don’t seem to make you And if you’re in a tight spot Where everything seems dead Well I’ve been there and we will break out

Feed 05:57
I ain’t got no fascination I wonder what time we’re closing tonight The big man’s got a killer agenda Feed the bottom line to rise to the top Cash the cards cash the checks watch the stock market And buy a house with some green green grass but I ain’t got no fascination so I wonder what time we’re closing tonight Cause last call is calling my name out All other options they fade out Last call is calling my name out All other options they fade out Dim the lights for the lovely diners Dressing up in their black and white The rich men make terrible whiners They two time us nickel and dime us But I ain’t got no fascination so I wonder what time we’re closing tonight Feed the bottom, feed the bottom line
4.
Riding through the valley, tonight I’ll turn my car into a bed And when I see sunshine I hope it lifts the fog right off my head Cause the devils in the details The devils in the details in your head And the thoughts that create the world around you The things you love and the things you dread. Oo Ah when things get rough If I give up will you call my bluff will you call it? And if dust and rust come and cover my skin And I just let it settle in will you shake me up? Will you shake shake shake me? Cause I’d do the same for all my kin Say my what a lovely mess your in But if you made it you can make it out
5.
Got my paycheck Friday evening After work, going home I see a man in traffic laughing and crying at the same time Cause today was the last day of his old ways I’m gonna roll with the punches til it gets old I’m gonna roll with the punches til it gets old No prison guard can tell me where I can’t go Gonna roll with the punches til it gets… Who bought the news and who bought the radio cause They don’t play good songs no more And who bought the information that sells so well on the TV stations, Lord Cause the truth went out the door.
